Above: 2009… Bang Or Bust?
2009…BANG OR BUST??? from ABOVE on Vimeo.
Beautiful way to usher in the new year by Above. Happy 2009 people.
David Choe: Exodus From The Land Of PlayYes, even the title rocks. What’s more, it’s an 18 color print! Want more surprises? The cool Dave himself handpainted each piece, so every one of them is different! $909 a piece, here.
David Choe: Choegal3rd of January 2009 is pretty much a good time to be at Giant Robot NY, because you’d probably get to meet good old Mr. David Choe. You’ll also get to witness the launching of Cho Gal, already deemed to be a collectors item and something that many believe will be sold out by the time you get there, so get there very early if you want one! This is a very special edition of Giant Robot 57 too, because it’s gonna be signed by Dave and has tons of his artwork inside.
Sam3: Stop Motion & DisponibleYou have to check out the stop motion video. Truly inspiring, and highly creative work.
Buff Diss: Tape ArtBuff Diss reminds me of why I really love and value street art. It’s an ever evolving creative output by minds of individuals that may or may not effect the people that come across it. It’s there on the wall asking you what do you think of it, whether you realize it or not. It’s a breath of fresh air from all the other advertising crap that makes you feel inferior and tells you their product will make you feel better. It’s raw and yet so powerful. It’s a piece of art that has been given to you, the public to do whatever the fuck you want to with it.
Armsrock+Elbowtoe: Mostly MemoryI just wanted to bump this up again as a reminded that the show is still going on, so take off your Santa hats and get over to the Think Space Gallery and check it out peeps. You can check out the pieces online, here.
Blu: Berlin The VideoYep… he just can’t stop himself from being so awesome even if he wanted to. I love Blu.
Kid Acne: More Murkage
Bruno Leyval: Old CowboyNew W.I.P. by Bruno Leyval. Also, here’s a photo of my girlfriend and me, which he did. I was so stoked that he will be sending this to me. Thanks Bruno, this means so much to me mate.

Brilliant video from Above. Nice Word|Play combo with stencils and natural props. It’s great to see street art is still very much kept alive by people such as Above. Mad respect!
