Myplasticheart would like to invite you to step into a world filled with robotic marvels and fanciful characters that emerge from the imaginations of Florida artists, Nakanari and Dave “Outta My Mind” Quiles. Their stylized characters will be showcased in varying forms, including plush, limited edition toys, paintings, prints, acrylic and metal sculptures. Both artists like to stretch their creativity and depict their characters in novel and humorous ways, as well as always experimenting with new materials and methods for creating art. Their works have been seen in publications such as Dot Dot Dash and Latex is Fun among others.
Nakanari is known for his Misfits of Nakanari characters as well as Spiki and his Puffy characters. He also is the originator of the Kaji Cubes plush, and had brought them to life with help from his fellow artists in Agi Agi. His bold use of color and constantly evolving style has marked him as one of those artists fans love to follow through the years.
Dave “Outta My Mind” Quiles is known for his customs as well as his sculpted, hand-cast figure, Mirus, along with his cast of folklore-based characters, the Myth-Illogicals. His unique use of printed acrylic for compositions and sculptures has set him apart from others in the field. They both hope you will enjoy this exhibition of their latest work as well as some special collaborations that they have done with other artists. These artists include Oni and Spider of Agi Agi Studios, Inky-Orlando, FL, Ano-Taiwan, filter017-Taiwan, Shon-Taiwan, Chaos- Taiwan, Dreamer-Taiwan, Chobopop-Budapest, Hungary, Yayawoo-Malaysia, A.wing-china, John Sousa-Orlando, Florida, and Nico Lucido-Orlando, Florida. Thank you to show sponsors, Vinyl Pulse and Yoho.
