Shepard Fairey’s Mothership
Yep, Obey’s very own Shepard Fairey’s been commissioned to work on Led Zeps latest greatest hits album cover. Not even a week in and there’s already dirt going on about this latest production from Shepard. What’s my take on this? In all honesty, I think he should have spent a little more time on the design and not do a collage of some of his older work, but only because this is Led Zeppelin man!
Then again, maybe Led Zep’s a big fan of Shepard’s original work and requested he do what he did? I don’t know, I’d like to hear from the man himself… let’s give him some credit where it’s due: his work kicks ass and the design above still rocks. In any case, Led Zep’s got real good taste in art.
