Led Zeppelin Reunion Show
A lil bit of a sidetrack here, but there’s news that Led Zeppelin is gonna be doing a reunion for 1 night only on November the 26th 2007. The band, which split after the death of their drummer John Bonham, is back together for a charity event that was organized by Bonham’s son, Jason in memory of Ahmet Ertegun, the man who quickly signed Led Zep on for Atlantic Records after hearing their demo for the first time. Every thing else is history. I’d give my limbs to be there, all of ‘em, even!

I’m so stoked for this. Zeppelin is one of my all time favorite bands I’d pretty much do anything to go too. donate bodily organs, give up my first born (who like babies anyway?), go streaking… the list continues.
I vote, they televise it after the fact.

I second the motion! I won’t be able to be there [*sob sob] but I’m hoping they release the DVD as soon as possible! It’s sad tho, without John Bonham.

oh god..how i would love to be there too. Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time. In 1994 I went to the Robert Plant/Jimmy Page concert when they did a tour with the London Metropolitan Orchestra. It was an absolutely mind blowing..naturally enhanced out of body experience.
So what’s up with all these great bands reuniting for just a one off show? Why can’t they just do a tour? The Sex Pistols are also reuniting for a one night event on Nov. 8th in London.

Well, I got to watch Deep Purple and Scorpion [both in their prime] when they came down to Malaysia in the 90′s, so for what it’s worth, it was still bloody excellent, and I’ll bet that the Led Zep concert is going to kick ass!
Sex Pistols? I don’t know, without Sid’s voice… I need to hear his deep British pronunciation and long pulls/ draggy, angry, alcohol fueled voice… if not, it’s just not the same.
